What We Believe

1. Man is born sinful and spiritually dead, totally unable to    perform any righteous deeds or gain favor from God.  And while we were dead in our sins, Christ died as the Lamb of God to set us free from the power of sin and eternal torment in hell.  The faith required to believe and accept Christ is itself a gift from God, as no dead man can seek out God but must be called and empowered by Him to answer that call.

2. Jesus Christ is, was, and ever will be God.  He is the Son of man, the Son of God made flesh to live the only sinless life so that He would fulfill the prophecies of scripture and die for the sins of man.  On the third day, He rose from the dead and reigns in heaven at the right hand of God the Father.  His resurrection is a sure promise to those who belong to Him that we have eternal life.  The Holy Spirit of God is a gift to all believers – for wisdom, comfort, and communion with our Father in Heaven.

3. God is revealed in the Holy Scriptures man calls "the Bible" (which refers only to those that are "Formal Equivalence" translations of what God authored) and is not the god described by other religions.  He exists in three persons, referred to as the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  He alone is Truth revealed, self-existent, and creator.  He alone is wise, powerful, holy, and righteous.

Why We're Here

Men of Honor  exists to call men to new life in Jesus Christ and make disciples of those who answer His call.

Our call as godly men is to "honor all men, love the brotherhood, and fear God." 1 Peter 2:17

Honor Comes from being in Christ Jesus

Humility – seek the mind of Christ (Philippians 2:3-4)
Obedience – if we love Him, we will obey His teaching. (John 14:15)
Nobility – the highest calling, to honor Christ. (Philippians 3:13-14)
Outreach – seek the lost (Matthew 28:19)
Reconciliation – reach beyond our comfort zone. (Romans 15:1-2)
